Area of Research Interest:

To delineate the heavy metals induced organ toxicity/cytotoxicity and their role in inducing oxidative stress, inflammation, necrosis and apoptosis in rodent model and cell lines.
To identify lead antioxidant Phytochemicals from medicinal plants used in folk medicine.
To determine the  biochemical changes induced by the heavy metals in rats at sublethal dose.
To pharmacologically characterize the protective effects of the lead phytochemical compounds against
metal toxicity in rats.
To assess the anti-hepatoxoic, anti-nephrotoxic, cardioprotective, neuroprotective and antioxidant
properties of the Phytochemicals against metal toxicity in rat model.
To analyze the protective cell signaling pathways involved in the cytoprotection antioxidant
phytochemicals against heavy metals induced multiple organ toxicity
